How to fly from the UK to Oceania
We won’t sugarcoat it: getting from the UK to Oceania takes a bit of time. There aren’t many direct flights, so you’re looking at somewhere around 22-27 hours of travel time (depending on how long your layover is) for London to Sydney, the most accessible hub in Oceania. Most flights depart from London, although Manchester or Edinburgh is also an option.
Cathay Pacific and British Airways offer two of the fastest ways of getting to Sydney, clocking in at about 22 hours of travel total. Other popular airlines for flying to the South Pacific include Qantas, Qatar and Emirates.
When is the best time to fly to Oceania?
Since the weather varies quite a bit throughout this region, there’s almost never a bad time to visit Oceania. One main thing to keep in mind is that most of Oceania is situated in the Southern Hemisphere, so the seasons are opposite of what you’re used to in the UK.
